Itheko made it three team victories from three races in the tough Red Hill Classic but the club also secured overall victory in the 36km race with Moses Njodzi claiming first prize.

Njodzi, the 2006 Two Oceans Ultramarathon winner, won the race in a time of 2:10:00 beating club mate Siviwe Nkombi by two-and-a-half minutes.

Itheko also dominated the top 10 positions, claiming seven of the spots.

In the age categories, John September (2:38:25) finished first in the Masters 50+ category while Jeff Smith (3:14:58) claimed first place in the Grandmasters 70+ category.
